A classification of 5 BMS-stars means that the lodge itself has 4-stars, but we consider the location, the meals and/or the personal service to be on a higher or lower level.

Classification

The accommodations at BMS-Travellers are classified in the following categories:

Very luxury accommodation
These are pretty rare, often small-scale accommodations in Africa. Everything falls into place: top location, accommodation, facility, service, culinary experience, etc. You will find the best safari guides of Africa here. You should often reserve far well in advance for small-scale accommodations.

Luxury accommodation
The luxurious, often small-scale hotels, lodges and camps are distinguished by the very best accommodation, food, service and experience it has to offer. The top location of the accommodation certainly plays a major role here. The safari guides are professional and well trained. You should often reserve far well in advance for small-scale accommodations.

First class accommodation
Most first class accommodations classify themselves as 5-stars. Here, you can find a luxurious accommodation with dedicated hosts and a warm welcoming. The meals are also of good quality.

Middle class accommodation
Comfortable and affordable accommodations with a good value for money in good locations throughout Africa. The rooms are not overly luxurious but well equipped. A stay in a middle class accommodation may not be less than a first class accommodation, given the location and the personal service.
