&Beyond Vamizi Island

In the far north of Mozambique bordering Tanzania lies &Beyond Vamizi Island: 12 km long and 1,5 km wide. Only 6 comfortable, spacious beach villas of 175 m², adjacent to the beach, each spaced 70 meters apart for extra privacy.

All villas have a spacious living room, a spacious bathroom with shower, fan, hair dryer, safe, a large veranda and a private pool (exept Casa Marjani). Air conditioning is unnecessary thanks to the open structure of the villas. A number of villas are interconnected by means of a boardwalk, therefore they are ideal for families or befriended couples. Vamizi also has a restaurant, a bar and a spa.

Several water sports are offered, such as scuba-diving, skin-diving, fishing and kayaking in the mangroves. It is also possible to explore the island by mountain bike. Several excursions by traditional Arabian dhow are offered to the nearby islands.

The island has miles long of sandy beaches and tropical forests. From Pemba it takes over an hour by charter plane to go to Vamizi.
