Babylonstoren Farm Hotel
Babylonstoren is a completely renovated Cape Dutch farm and vineyard of over 250 hectares, located between Paarl and Stellenbosch.
The buildings of this special accommodation lie near each other, so it's never far from your suite to the reception, the restaurant, the wine farm or the swimming pool, spa (massage and Turkish bath) and fitness.
All air-conditioned cottages, rooms and suites have many original features such as wooden farmhouse doors, fireplaces and thick stone walls. They also feature a designer bathroom and free WiFi.
It is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms in the Cape Winelands. But do not expected butler service at Babylonstoren, keep in mind that you are staying on a working wine farm. Guests are welcome to help with the planting and harvesting of fruits, herbs, nuts, spices and vegetables. The gardeners love to give a tour of the many paths, pergolas and the rosary.
Restaurant Babel
Babel is the restaurant belonging to Babylonstoren. The decor is contemporary yet cosy, with a lot of glass. The menu is written on a large wall at the back of the restaurant, and because of the open kitchen the buzz of the chefs is a pleasant background noise. The chef emphasizes fresh, simple and tasteful food, the menu is seasonal. The ingredients are (of course) from the garden.
Your dinner can also be served in the privacy of your own suite.
Greenhouse Restaurant
At the rear of the garden, tucked away between the oak trees, our Greenhouse offers guests the perfect place to rest and enjoy delicious home-baked cakes, coffee, tea and fresh garden juices. We also offer more substantial meals of artisanal breads with handcrafted cheeses and dressed meats, served with our homemade herb oils, chutneys, preserves and relishes, as well as delicious, fresh garden salads.

Wine Farm
Before you leave, you should definitely have visited the winery. The enthusiastic winemakers show you everything and explain how the wine is made. The wine will be bottled at the end of the year, but as a geast of Babylonstoren you can always get to taste the wine.
