Chilo Gorge
Chilo Gorge is located on the edge of the vast Gonarezhou National Park in southern Zimbabwe, and consists of a lodge and a tented camp.
Lodge
The elegant Chilo Gorge Lodge is entirely made of local materials. The luxurious rooms are equipped with a comfortable double bed, a spacious en-suite bathroom and a private balcony with a seating area with a fantastic view where you can relax. Other amenities include a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and a safety deposit box.
Furthermore, the lodge has a shaded swimming pool, a luxurious lounge, library, bar and a dining room, all surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens. From the wooden terrace you can view the elephants, hippos and crocodiles in the river.
Tented Camp
The Chilo Gorge Tented Camp is in a beautiful location, close to some of the best water pans in Gonarezhou. Elephants, buffalo, waterbucks and other large grazers walk close to the camp, which offers a special view. The camp consists of 4 large A-frame tents, each with 2 beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower and sink with hot and cold running water and a toilet. Meals are used in the cool shade of a Nyala tree, but there is also a mess tent.
Ivory Trail Adventure
The Ivory Trail Adventure offers the truly adventurous traveler the opportunity to explore rarely visited parts of this special park. You make a tour through the Gonarezhou National Park where you spend the night in a simple dome tent with 2 beds and a "safari sink". The "bucket shower" is a separate tent.
