Fig Tree Bush Camp
Fig Tree Bush Camp is named after the giant fig tree next to the boma (central area) overlooking a unique sandy lagoon in an undiscovered part of Kafue National Park.
This luxury bush camp from Makumbi Safaris has four spacious safari tents on 3-meter platforms above the ground, giving a spectacular view over the lagoon and the plains towards the entrance of the camp.
Each tent has an en-suite bathroom and veranda presenting a unique view from the tree canopy. Guests will then come together underneath the Fig Tree, from which the camp is named, to savour the serenity of the lagoon as well as delicious food and wine.
The lagoon maintains its alluring water throughout the season attracting an array of wildlife, including elephant, puku, impala, warthog, zebra, and hartebeest. Predators like lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena are regular visitors and the wild dog have been known to prey on the concentration of game.
Fig Tree Bush Camp will open for guests from 1 May to 30 November.
