The Kenyan coast offers you a combination of history and culture, beautiful beaches and excellent opportunities for water sports. In ancient times, Arab and Persian traders rowed their traditional fishing boats to the East African coast to trade in ivory, spices and slaves. The Arabs remained here to live and marry local women, thus, the Swahili people was born, a group of different tribes linked by a common language and religion.
Nowadays, you can find almost the entire coast full of beautiful hotels and resorts, where you can relax after a safari and unwind. Famous places are, Funzi Island, Lamu Island, Manda Island, Malindi and of course, Mombasa.
