Kigali
Kigali was founded in 1907 during the German settlement by Richard Kandt. Only in 1962, during the decolonisation, Kigali was the capital of Rwanda.
Since then, the city is rapidly growing and the political, economic and culture centre remained increasingly in Rwanda. In Kigali, tourism has really started to pick up. The most modern shops in the country are located in the Union Trade Centre and the many restaurants, in addition to traditional African dishes, as well as many international cuisines at home. In the centre of town you can enjoy strolling about in the extraordinary African market.
