Lukuba Island Lodge
Lukuba Island lies on 13 km. distance from Musoma in the Lake Victoria. By boat it takes about 45 minutes to get to Lukuba Island Lodge. On the way you will encounter many types of birds, including pelicans.
In the morning you can chill out in your chair on the stone veranda and finally read that book you have been carrying with you halfway through Africa. Perhaps you will see the vervet monkeys pick the fruit from the trees.
the lodge lies hidden under large fig trees between two large granite rocks. It consists of 8 rooms, sheltered in 5 stone bungalows within a few steps from the beach. Through a small path, along the small swimming pool, you will arrive in the next bay where you will find 3 large tents. The light breeze from the lake will ensure your comfort even during the warmest days, and the thick rocks will make the bungalows cool down during the night.
In the common area there is a bar and a restaurant where meals are served.
Included activities are kayaking, guided hikes and a boat trip around the island. Optionally you can also go fishing on the famous Nile perch. Swimming in the lake is not recommended.
