Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park
In the northern part of the Kruger Park (South Africa) and in the Gonerezhou National Park (Zimbabwe), the Mozambique border fences were removed to create the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park.
This area is one of the largest pristine areas on earth, with an area of 35,000 km2. There are also few official tourist routes, so you will still find untouched nature. In the near future, all the fences in these areas will be removed, so that eventually the wildlife will be able to roam around freely. During a safari in this large park, travellers can cross the borders of three countries within the park. The huge national park is protected and fenced, so as to maintain biodiversity.
