Saadani National Park
The Saadani National Park is the only coastal reserve on the coast of Tanzania with its unique combination of white sandy beach and game reserve.
The diversity of animals is similar to many other parks. It is the number of animals and accessibility which will amaze you. Buffalo, elephants, lions, zebras are just some of the animals that like to stay here. If you are looking for the Big 5, you should first visit one of the other parks, the animals here are shy and it is unlikely you will see a lot of them. Saadani is meant more as a destination for activities than just game drives and to relax on the beach.
The Wami River, which flows through the Saadani National Park, provides a large population of hippos, crocodiles, flamingos and many large birds. Elephants are often seen in Saadani's beach, preferably in the early morning hours. All this makes the Saadani National Park a special and unique park that is well worth a visit.
