Sarili
Sarili is a eco-friendly African villa in the Shamwari Private Game Reserve, built in local style, especially for small groups and families with children.
The entire lodge is stylishly furnished and exudes a coszy contemporary atmosphere. From the spacious veranda you have a view of the Bushman river and the extraordinary plains of the African bush. Sarili consists of 5 spacious luxury rooms, a child-friendly swimming pool, a lounge, a dining room and an outdoor barbecue. There is also a children's menu for dinner.
Early in the morning and late in the evening, you go under the guidance of experienced guides on a game drive in the Shamwari Private Game Reserve in search of the Big Five (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard), hippos, cheetahs and many other animals.
Shamwari offers a special children's programme where children from 4 years of age can get the chance to see the Big 5 and a visit to the Born Free Foundation and the Shamwari Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
Shamwari Private Game Reserve
The malaria-free Shamwari Private Game Reserve is situated between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown. The landscape in this area is different from the reserves at the edge of the Kruger Park. It is hillier and less wooded, whereby one can see from afar all the wildlife. Animals that live here, amongst others, are elephants, buffaloes, rhinos and leopards, but also many species of antelope and other wildlife.
