Solio Lodge
Beautiful private ranch located in the Solio Game Reserve between the slopes of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains. This is where the endangered black and white rhinos live side by side with many other animals.
A total of five spacious cottages are furnished in different styles and it’s character is a reflection of the African environment. Each cottage has a separate sitting area with fireplace and a large bathroom with a double sink, bath and shower. The large glass windows with panoramic views give a spacious feeling and raze the barriers between the inside and outside.
In the thatched main building there is a warm cozy lounge with fireplace and a spacious veranda with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. You can also enjoy special meals with selected wines here.
Activities
During the game drives in the Solio Game Reserve , you will find not only special rhinos but also many other types of animals such as cheetahs, leopards, lions, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, oryx, impala, waterbuck and a large variety of birds.
Furthermore, you can have a guided walk in the area, horseback riding or go trout fishing in the glacial lakes of Mt. Kenya or the rivers in the Aberdare Mountains.
