Jinja
Jinja is also called the activity capital of the country. It is located on the east bank of Lake Victoria, about 90 kilometers northeast of the capital Kampala.
This old fishing village has become a popular tourist destination in recent years. The region where the city is located is famous for its fertile soils and the abundant rainfall. Agriculture is therefore the largest industry. And because it also has a harbor on Lake Victoria, the fishing industry is also a major employment provider.
Just outside of Jinja, the Nile River rises, Africa's longest river and the symbol of life for all the countries through which it flows.
