Zimbabwe is a beautiful country consisting of raw African wilderness and ancient mystery. A safari in Zimbabwe conjures images of huge, game-rich plateaus, such as the majestic Hwange National Park, and the breathtaking raw power of Victoria Falls, the widest curtain of falling water in the world.

The country is rich in various types of raw wilderness, ranging from low-lying semi-desert, vast savannas and fascinating rock formations to lush highlands dotted with forests and lakes. Zimbabwe is best known for the Victoria Falls, the impressive waterfalls is on the border with Zambia, where people from all across the world come to see this magical spectacle.

Hwange, the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe

Particular areas are teeming with wildlife, for example: Hwange, the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe with alternate areas with salt pans, acacia forests and grassy plains, is home to an abundance of wildlife; or Mana pools, a region that is part of the lower Zambezi River. This park offers breathtaking views and a great concentration of wildlife come to drink on the banks, which are kilometres long; or how about Lake Kariba, inhabited by large populations of crocodiles and hippos. The banks are frequented by elephants and many other wildlife, such as white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, baboons, sable antelope, impala, buffalo and a variety of (water) birds; or Malilangwe, a large protected area where abundant wildlife are present, including the Big Five.
