Omaanda
Omaanda is a luxurious lodge set within the Zannier Reserve by N/a’an ku sê, an incredible private animal conservancy reserve of 9000 hectares near the Namibian capital Windhoek.
Overlooking the boundless savannah, the camp offers ten spacious round thatched huts, whose warmth design, evocative of the earth, is inspired by the traditional architecture of Ovambo.
The eight 1-bedroom huts are built in traditional Namibian style, with rounded corners and with a hand-finished thatch roof. The two 2-bedroom huts that are specially designed with groups or families in mind. All are equipped with all modern amenities.
The authentic restaurant serves a refined cuisine, from home-made breakfast to delicious dishes to share, including generous pieces of ‘game meat’ on a spit.
Melting into the incredible background, the bar on the edge of the heated outdoor infinity pool offers a refreshing retreat after unforgettable made-to-measure excursions and safaris.
The friendly ambiance of Omaanda is energized with the cozy bar and the nearby boma, where guests can meet and mingle around an open fire.
The atmosphere of timeless intimacy continues in the spa, where massages and cares inspired by local Namibian beliefs are provided in two double treatment rooms.
Zannier Reserve
More than just a game reserve, it is a dynamic sanctuary that plays an active role in conservation in Namibia. 9000 hectare family-owned land, on Khomas Hochland (mountain as a backdrop, hills, valleys, vast plains and a large lake surrounded by vegetation and African bush), home to great bio-diversityof wildlife and flora.
Excursions in partnership with N/a’an ku sê (“God Will Protect Us” in San language) by experienced local guides. N/a’an ku sê was founded by Dr. Rudie van Vuuren and his wife Marlice, to conserve the land, cultures and wildlife of Namibia.
