Arusha National Park
Arusha National Park is located between the peaks of Kilimanjaro and Meru, making the park an extraordinarily beautiful area.
The park has a variety of habitats, from the series of crater lakes where many water birds live, by the Montane forest in the highlands to the peaks of the majestic Mount Meru. These distinct ecosystems have various types of animals: migrating waterfowls perched in the lakes, waterbucks and reedbucks live on the banks, duikers hide themselves in the shrubs or forest.
It is impossible to say where exactly the different species of animals are present, but the most common species you can also almost certainly come across in this area.
There are also almost 400 bird species recorded in the park. Some species are migratory birds and are present between October and April, others are permanent residents of the woods.
