Hammerstein Lodge

Hammerstein Lodge is located approximately 40 km west of Maltahöhe near the magnificent Sossusvlei and the Sesriem area.
The accommodation consists of bungalows with en-suite facilities. The bar and the 'braai' or barbecue area is the central meeting point from the rest of the camp. Hammerstein also has a swimming pool. The lodge got its name from a rock that came in a shape of a hammer, which can be found a few kilometres outside the lodge.
There are also 3 campsites with water, electricity and trees for shade.
From the lodges, game drives and various hikes are offered. You can also get a tour over the terrain. Wild animals live in captivity by the lodge, namely cheetah, leopard, African lynx (caracal) and a 'crazy' zebra named Hans. In the garden of the lodge, sometimes there are two caracals walking around freely.
A sundowner drive in the area is a must. A visit to the Duwisib Castle is also possible.
