Kwihala Camp

Kwihala Camp is a semi permanent tented camp located at two sites throughout the year in the northern part of Ruaha National Park in the Mbagi area. The Msembe airstrip is only a 45 minutes drive away.

Kwihala Camp is a combination of adventure and style, designed for those who would like to be comfortable but close to the wildlife. The camp consists of six individual and privately located tents. The spacious tents (40 square metres) are fully furnished with comfortable beds, bedside tables, dressing table, space for luggage and hanging space, integral bathrooms (bucket showers) and flushing toilets. Each tent has a covered veranda area, is mosquito proofed and protected from the elements by a heavy duty 'fly' sheet.

The spacious mess tent is the main social centre of the camp. The separate dining and relaxing areas create a homely feel, although canvas walls and open sides leave one with no illusions that one is camping in the bush.

The game drives are in our specially adapted, open, 4WD vehicles, providing raised seating for better game viewing and shade from the equatorial sun.
