Lamai Serengeti
Lamai Serengeti lies in the far north of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, just south of the border with Kenya. It is tucked amongst the rocks of Kogakuria Kopje with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, just a few miles from where the wildebeest cross the Mara River. For roughly a quarter of the year, between late July and October, this is where you'll find the migration.
The lounge area has plenty of comfortable sofas, placed to take advantage of the breeze that passes through, while in winter, a roaring fire is lit to ward off the evening chill.
There are twelve stone and thatch rooms, raised on wooden decking and all en-suite. Three have an adjoining twin room for children, sharing the bathroom. Each en-suite room is open-fronted and contains a generous shower with hot and cold running water (provided by a solar system), and flush toilet.
Each room has a comfy day bed and chairs for relaxing on the verandah.
Lamai Serengeti is year round open, except April and May.
