Mowani Mountain Camp

From each tent you have a splendid view over the wonderful surroundings. For absolute privacy and tranquillity we recommend the tastefully furnished private suite with butler service. The central part of the accommodation with the restaurant, the bar, lounge and reception is built in typical African style with many natural resources.

The lodge also has a swimming pool. On cool evenings you can sit around the campfire here.

Activities

From Mowani Mountain Camp you can do a nature trip through the dramatic landscape of Damaraland in search of the (hard to find) desert elephants that look for food and water.   There are also many other kinds of animals and birds, which are fully adapted to the extreme conditions.

You can also do a nature walk guided by an experienced local guide.  This can tell you much about the emergence of the landscape and the many flora and fauna in the environment.  Extremely informative and a great opportunity to see and to photograph the beautiful landscape from up-close.

There is also the possibility for an excursion to Twyfelfontein.
