Kariega Main Lodge
A beautiful lodge situated in the malaria free private game reserve of Kariega Game Reserve, at about a half hour drive from Port Elizabeth.
The 24 spacious, thatched chalets are all equipped with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, private plunge pool, balcony, mini-bar, telephone and a safe. Some chalets have a private plunge pool.
Furthermore, the lodge has a pleasant lounge and a pool. Tasty traditional South African cuisine is served in the restaurant or in the boma. Children of all ages are welcome.
Uniquely in this part of Kariega, you are free and safe to walk amongst the game drive without the dangerous encounter of the Big 5.
Game drives are done in open 4x4 safari vehicles or on foot. During your stay in Kariega, not only is there safaris, but also boat trips on the Kariega river, guided walks, canoeing, fly fishing and swimming in the beautiful river pools. These activities are included.
