Palmarium Reserve

The Palmarium Reserve, also known as Ankanin'ny Nofy (Nest of Dreams), is surrounded by a large blue lake. It is the ideal place to come into direct contact with nature.

The reserve is home to 7 species of lemurs, with Indri Indri being a highlight, many species of reptiles in particular chameleons. The rich flora is mainly represented by palm trees, orchids and the famous vanilla.
Be enchanted by the lush biodiversity: orchids, carnivorous plants, ebony, mahogany and traveler's palm, the typical palm of Madagascar. The hiking trails are surrounded by lush exotic flora and fauna. Spot rare lemurs frolicking high in the trees and colorful birds flying through the sky. The guide shares fascinating insights into the reserve's unique ecology and points out hidden treasures along the way...

In the evening you can take a walk with a guide to look for the rare Aye Aye lemur. As dusk falls, these mysterious creatures emerge from the shadows of the jungle. Their large eyes shine in the dark as they nimbly search for food in the treetops. Every crack of branches and soft rustle of leaves betrays their presence. They search for insects with their unique long fingers.
