Sand Rivers
Sand Rivers has a wonderful position deep inside the Selous Game Reserve, where it overlooks a wide curve in the Rufiji River. It is an excellent place to go on a walking safari.
The accommodation consists of 5 comfortable Riverside Rooms and 3 Hillside Suites built from local stone and a Makuti thatched roof. All have en-suite facilities with bathroom and a private veranda which offers a view overlooking the river. The suites have a private plunge pool and a lounge room.
The main building consists of one elegant lounge, restaurant and a bar.
Activities
You can participate twice per overnight in the activities offered by the lodge: game drives in open safari vehicles, and / or a boat safari, fishing or a walking safari under the guidance of a professional ranger (only for 16 years and older). These activities are on shared basis.
On request: the adventurers among you can go fly-camping for one night (a night under the starry sky under a mosquito net, of course under supervision).
