Swala
Hidden between graceful trees and golden plains you can find Swala Tented Camp. The camp is situated in the south-west in an isolated area of the park.
The 12 luxurious canvas pavilions with en-suite bathrooms (shower), and an elevated veranda offer you absolute privacy and overlook the waterhole, where animals are regularly spotted. The delicious pan-African dishes are served on a table covered with silverware in the main tent. With your stay in Swala you also support the construction of a school for the local populace at the edge of the park, where you can pay a visit at your request.
Game drives by moonlight
Guests of Swala have the privilege to make a nocturnal game drive in the Tarangire National Park (seasonal). It is a first that permission has been granted to admire the beauty of the park at night.
At nightfall you drive in a safari vehicle through the park in search of animals which are active during the night and thus rarely spotted, such as the African wild cat, the leopard or a bush baby. With special lights you will also look for lions and hyenas, but also smaller animals such as the serval, bat-ear foxes, owls and night swallows.
