Taasa Lodge

Taasa Lodge (former Buffalo Luxury Camp) is situated approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) from Kleins Gate to the East of the Serengeti National Park. It offers a unique combination of luxurious accommodation, extraordinary wildlife, the exhilarating freedom to participate in guided game & nature walks as well as bush dinners, the rare opportunity to go on night game drives and a fascinating insight into the culture of the local Maasai tribesmen and women.
Accommodation at the camp consists of 15 split level suite tents measuring 60 square metres (or 600 square feet) each and consisting of a verandah, comfortable lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. The lounge is furnished with a writing desk and high-back chair, a comfortable leather sofa and armchair. The raised sleeping area features either a king size or twin beds made from recycled aluminium and decorated with traditional Maasai beadwork. And the bathroom has a soaking tub, separate shower, his and hers wash hand basins, flush toilet, hair dryer and comfortable robes.
The tastefully decorated main building is located at the top of the property and also offers stunning views into the Serengeti National Park. Inside can be found three separate areas, built on three different levels. On the first level is the dining room where breakfasts, lunches and dinners are normally served. Meals can also be served outside ‘al fresco’ on the terrace or in the purpose built Maasai boma located some distance from the camp.
The main lounge, with its opulent leather settees and indoor fireplace are located on a second level whilst the lounge bar with its selection of fine wines and spirits is located on yet another level.
A large outdoor patio with fire bowl and lounge chairs provide the perfect venue for aperitifs and pre-dinner bitings or simply for reading, relaxing and meeting other guests.
