Wild Horses Lodge

Wild Horses Lodge is a Sandstone villa within the Sterkfontein Nature Reserve (northern Drakensberg) facing the breathtaking expanse of the Sterkfontein Dam and the Platberg Mountains.
Located in a separate wing to the main house, each of the four individually decorated suites has its own charm. Bask in the sun at the rim-flow pool and enjoy the views over the mammoth Sterkfontein Dam. Take a stroll around the indigenous garden, or spend a little quiet time with the butterflies in the manicured rose garden. Recline on the quiet deck with a good book (a number of books and popular DVDs are available from the library), or enjoy a massage in the discreet comfort of your suite.
The rooms - two on ground level (Sunrise Suite and Guinea Fowl Suite) and two on the upper level (Sunset Suite and Zebra Suite) - have been designed for true comfort as well as aesthetic appeal. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom with shower, bath and separate toilet. Egyptian cotton linen, sumptuous bathrobes, towels and slippers make for a luxurious touch. Amenities include television with DSTV; hair drier; complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, a fully-stocked bar fridge, digital safe and writing desk.
The Wild Horses dining room offers a truly magnificent dining experience: a reeded ceiling and fireplace create a cosy, rustic ambiance. Meals are served in the dining room or on the viewing deck. The chef is astute in the culinary art, and meals are a fusion of unpretentious local dishes, merged with popular international influences. Guests are able to select their own bottle of wine from the Lodge's private wine cellar.
