Onguma Private Nature Reserve

Onguma Nature Reserve is located on the eastern boundary of Etosha National Park, just outside the Von Lindequist Gate, and borders Fisher's Pan. Covering nearly 36,000 hectares, this private reserve is home to more than 30 species of mammals, including giraffe, kudu, eland, oryx, zebra, and impala.

Predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena also roam the reserve. Onguma plays an important role in the conservation of the endangered black rhinoceros and is also home to the white rhinoceros. Bird enthusiasts can enjoy sightings of more than 300 bird species. Thanks to its diverse landscapes, intimate atmosphere, and outstanding safari experiences, Onguma is widely regarded as one of Namibia's finest private game reserves.

The reserve features a mix of open plains, mopane woodland, and natural waterholes that attract an impressive variety of wildlife. Access to Onguma is exclusively reserved for guests staying at the lodges within the reserve, ensuring a peaceful and exclusive safari experience. Through a dedicated entrance gate, guests also have direct access to Etosha National Park, making it easy to combine visits to both of these remarkable wildlife destinations.
